In a letter to Town of Normal trustees, the LWV of McLean County urges a "no" vote on a proposed ordinance to enact a grocery tax. "We urge you to make it a little easier for those among us who struggle the most."

LWVIL President Becky Simon was interviewed by NBC Chicago on August 22 about women voters in the Chicago suburbs. "Women are more than half of our population. It's important we get out and vote."

The League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) and Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) announced a new, two-year partnership that will support Girl Scouts’ Promote the Vote program and civic engagement opportunities for Girl Scouts across the country.

The League of Women Voter of McLean County recognized accomplishments, celebrated the past year, and turned attention to the coming year at its June 24 Annual Meeting. Members Faith Russell, Kay Moss and Diana Hauman received special recognition.
