The mission of the League of Women Voters of Illinois is to defend democracy and empower voters. We are seriously concerned about actions currently being taken by our government that violate constitutional freedoms and rights, and which appear to be attempts to intimidate Americans into bending to the will of the government rather than our government bending to the will of the people they are elected to serve.
Phone Call Fridays is a weekly call to action.
We are asking our members, partners, and friends to
join us every Friday in calling our lawmakers and Congressional leaders. Make it a standing appointment each week on your calendar.
What will start with your small voice each week, will grow and grow into a loud chorus of dissent, resistance, and display of unified rejection of the actions of the current administration. But we need to do it NOW and we need to do it TOGETHER.
